The internet is bursting with advice about careers in medicine. But how much of it is accurate, impartial and up to date? Where do you ask the really difficult questions, like am I personally ready for this? How will I cope with the stress of making life-or-death decisions every day? How will I memorise vast amounts of critical information? How do I mentally for that first incision on a cadaver, or cope with the death of a child from cancer?

If you're lucky enough to know a doctor personally, maybe you can get answers to those questions, but they may not know about the options to study abroad if you don't win the chance to do so locally. Before you start out on a decade-long training program that will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in tuition fees, you and your family need to know you are right for this role and the role is right for you.

That's why we are here. We want to give everyone committed to a clinical career, wherever they live and whatever their personal circumstances, the chance to understand the routes to these careers. We do it because it's a way of paying forward the advice we were given before we started training.
